For Immediate Release

ALEXANDRIA, VA – NAADAC's 2016 Annual Conference: Embracing Today, Empowering Tomorrow, held at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis in Minneapolis, MN from October 7-11, 2016, was a huge success!

Over 650 participants attended the five day event, which included full day pre-conference and post-conference sessions, breakout sessions, daily plenary sessions, professional development, networking, exhibits, culture, and community. This year’s conference featured 80 exhibitors, 64 presentations, and 78 presenters, allowing NAADAC members and other addiction professionals from across the country to receive up-to-date information from the top industry experts on the latest trends, practices, and critical issues that impact addiction professionals. Handouts and presentation materials from the presentations are available on the NAADAC website at

Conference attendees also took advantage of the opportunity to tour Hazelden Betty Ford’s Center City facility and Augsburg College’s StepUP! Program facility, as well as to view a screening of the film How I Got Over. The NAADAC Education and Research Foundation (NERF) auction night was enjoyed by all who attended and brought in a significant amount of money for the non-profit foundation.
