NAADAC and Via Positiva Launch Business Learning Collaborative to Strengthen and Position Addiction-Focused Organizations for Sustainability and Growth

NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, in collaboration with Via Positiva, an addiction and mental health consulting and training company, today unveiled a new capacity building training program to elevate and focus addiction, co-occurring and recovery business practices for sustainability, fiscal strength, clinical excellence, recovery orientation, and industry leadership.

Launching on April 17, 2014, the six-month Addiction Professional Business Learning Collaborative (“Business Learning Collaborative”) is an intensive, interactive executive training program designed to help organizations maximize current funding and service opportunities inherent in healthcare reform and identify and address barriers to growth.

Limited to only 25 participating organizations, participants will receive an innovative mix of training and development webinars, small group sessions lead by Business Learning Collaborative Coaches, and consultation and strategic planning calls specifically dedicated to each organization’s sustainability and growth. In addition, informal “fireside chats” will allow for open, frank exchanges with decision makers, thought leaders, regulators and recovery-oriented professionals. Applications for the program will be accepted through April 17, 2014.

“With the onset of the Affordable Care Act and related healthcare reform initiatives, there is so much information and rapid change that it is sometimes challenging for addiction professionals to know where to focus first. This program will provide hands-on, in-depth and strategic training and planning from an impressive roster of industry leaders and insiders,” said Jim Clarkson, CEO of Via Positiva, LLC. “Addiction professionals need to know how to position their organizations for sustainability and growth in the current environment”

“Besides receiving over 38 Continuing Education (CE) credits and an Organizational Membership in NAADAC, participants will leave the program with a concise, easy to follow, and comprehensive sustainability and growth plan specific to their organization using a proven and effective template,” said NAADAC Executive Director Cynthia Moreno Tuohy. “We will be holding nothing back to help insure their success – as executive leaders and organizations.”
