ARLINGTON, VA - NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, and Orion Health, in partnership with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Service (DHHS) Division of Behavioral Health (DBH), are proud to announce the 2016 Annual Nebraska Behavioral Health Conference: Success, Resiliency, and Recovery, to be held at the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln, NE May 31 – June 2.
This annual statewide behavioral health conference will provide a multi-disciplinary approach to education and engagement and give participants an opportunity to grow Nebraska’s systems care. Attendees will include behavioral health professionals, consumers of behavioral health services, employees of state behavioral health-related agencies, medical and legal professionals, educators, and federal, state, tribal, territorial, and local policymakers, administrators, planners, leaders, and advocates. Participants will receive critical new tools for success, resiliency, and recovery and be able to earn up to 16 Continuing Education (CE) credits.
The conference will examine the evolving landscape by turning to those with first-hand experience redefining the healthcare field, including such national and regional thought leaders as Shelia Raye Charles; Dr. Darryl Inaba, Pharm.D., CADAC III; Dr. Thomas Durham, Ph.D., LADC; Dr. Diane Sevening, Ed.D., LAC, CDC III; Cynthia Moreno Tuohy, NCAC II, CDC III, SAP;, and trainers from the Mid-America Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC). Potential regional trainers and speakers include Jeanette Mangione-Elbert; Lisa Casullo, Psy.D., CPSWS; Paulissa Edna Kipp, CPSWS; Dr. Kimberly Strong, Ph.D.; Marlene Sorenson; and Roxann Hamilton, M.Ed. The conference will also feature an exhibit hall, special events, and a Serenity Room, with arts & crafts, meditation, and onsite peer support.
