Make a difference by nominating a passionate, skilled and dedicated addiction professional for a NAADAC Executive Leadership position. Please note: Only current NAADAC members may submit nominations.

General voting will open May 1 - 31, 2018. All 2018-2020 terms begin on October 9, 2018, after the NAADAC Annual Conference in Houston, TX.

Procedure

STEP 1: Download nomination form.

STEP 2: Return completed & signed nomination form by 5:00pm EST on February 5, 2018:

  • by email to Diana Kamp at dkamp@naadac.org (preferred method)

  • by fax to 703-741-7698 (ATTN: Diana Kamp); or

  • by mail to NAADAC, Attn: Nominations & Elections, 44 Canal Center Plaza Ste. 301, Alexandria, VA 22314 

STEP 3: Email digital headshot of nominee (at least 500 KB in file size; 1 MB or more preferred) to Diana Kamp at dkamp@naadac.org by 5:00 pm EST on February 5, 2018.

Qualifications for Candidates:

Only members in good standing who have been actively engaged in work in addiction counseling or as an addiction professional for at least two years immediately prior to nomination shall be eligible for an elective office with the Association. 

OFFICERS: Candidates for NAADAC officer positions must be nominated by a member of the NAADAC Board of Directors or a Regional Vice President.

Secretary Qualifications

(a)  The ability to perform and fulfill all duties and functions of the Secretary as enumerated and described by the NAADAC Bylaws and Policies and Procedures.

(b) Current NAADAC Professional Membership in good standing.

(c) A minimum of two years of active engagement in the addiction recovery profession immediately prior to the nomination.

(d) A minimum of two years of experience on either the NAADAC Board of Directors or a NAADAC Affiliate Board (State/Chapter/International); and/or

(e) Chaired a standing NAADAC committee or served on the NCC AP.   

All candidates for Secretary must meet qualifications (a) - (c), and (d) or (e).

Treasurer Qualifications

(a)  The ability to perform and fulfill all duties and functions of the Treasurer as enumerated and described by the NAADAC Bylaws and Policies and Procedures.

(b) Current NAADAC Professional Membership in good standing.

(c) A minimum of two years of active engagement in the addiction recovery profession immediately prior to the nomination.

(d) A minimum of two years of experience on either the NAADAC Board of Directors or a NAADAC Affiliate Board (State/Chapter/International); and/or

(e) Chaired a standing NAADAC committee or served on the NCC AP.   

All candidates for Treasurer must meet qualifications (a) - (c), and (d) or (e).
