Nebraska Association of Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Co-Addiction Professionals

As you are aware, NAADAC has been working together with the NAADAC Nebraska Advisory Committee to move forward with a NAADAC Nebraska affiliate.

Over the past few months, the Advisory Committee, has been discussing the many challenges facing Nebraska addiction professionals from workforce development to ensuring that funds are available to provide the much needed prevention & treatment services for youth and adults statewide.  We all agree that a strong local and national voice for the addiction profession is needed in Nebraska.

Our next step:
NAADAC will oversee an election for the founding board of the new NAADAC affiliate.  Once a founding board has been voted on by the NAADAC Nebraska membership, a corporation will be formed, bylaws and policies & procedures will be developed, and a formal affiliate agreement will be signed with NAADAC.

We are pleased to announce that the following members of the Advisory Committee are interested in being a part of the founding board for Nebraska:

  • President:  Tom Barr, LIMHP, LADC
  • President Elect: Ryan Carruthers, MA, LADC LMHP, CPC
  • Secretary:  Kate Speck, PhD, MAC, LADC
  • Treasurer:  Terry Duffy, LADC
  • Director:  Pamela E. Conroy, MA, LIMHP, MAC, LADC
  • Director:  David Hoppe, MHR, LADC
  • Director:  Kayla Allmendinger, PLADC
  • Director: Christine (Tina) Chasek, LIMHP, LADC, LPC, MAC

If you are interested in being a part of this revitalization and would like to be added to the slate, please forward a nomination form to Diana at no later than Wednesday, December 26, 2018.  All current members of NAADAC are eligible.  The nominations will be closed as of December 27, 2018 and a ballot will be sent to all current Nebraska NAADAC members for a final vote.
