NAADAC at Facing Addiction with NCADD's Employment in Recovery Event on Capitol Hill

On March 14, 2018, Facing Addiction with NCADD and the Recovery Research Institute held an informative briefing on Capitol Hill entitled Employment in Recovery: Challenges & Opportunities. NAADAC Grants Coordinator Ace Crawford attended the briefing, which was hosted by the Congressional Addiction, Treatment & Recovery Caucus.

Representatives Paul Tonko (D-NY) and David Joyce (R-OH), as well as Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), spoke to attendees about substance use disorder recovery, recovery support services, current employment challenges, employee assistance challenges, and job recovery resource offerings. Representatievs from Job Recovery, Workforce Recovery Solutions, the Briermost Foundation, and Hope in Recovery Employment also participated in the forum.
