NAADAC at Psychotherapy Associates' 44th Annual Winter Symposium

NAADAC's Executive Director, Cynthia Moreno Tuohy, NCAC II, CDC III, SAP and NAADAC's Treasurer, Mita Johnson, EdD, LPC, MAC, SAP, joined 1,500 other addiction professionals in Colorado Springs, Colorado, for the Psychotherapy Associatiates' 44th Annual Winter Symposium from January 28 - 31, 2018.

The 44th Annual Winter Symposium, Addictive Disorders, Behavioral Health, and Mental Health, aims to improve health professional attendee’s evidence-based diagnostic/assessment, treatment, knowledge and practice skills specific to reducing and/or eliminating health care provider care gaps and facilitating integrative care related to a broad spectrum of addictive disorders, behavioral health and mental health disorders.

Moreno Tuohy was invited to be a keynote speaker at the Symposium, and her presentation, Reflections on Being Therapeutic: A Discussion About Who You Are When You Are Working With Clients, was well received by attendees.  Johnson presented Marijuana: What Current Science is Revealing about THC, CBD, and Other Cannabinoids. NAADAC's Colorado affiliate, the Colorado Association of Addiction Professionals (CAAP) exhibited at the Symposium.
