Description

The Partners for Change Outcome Management System (PCOMS), listed in SAMHSA's Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices, is used by hundreds of organizations and by thousands of behavioral health professionals in all 50 States and in 20 countries on five continents. One fundamental belief is necessary – clients bring with them personal strengths and necessary resources. The key to this recovery-oriented, client-directed, and outcome-informed approach is taking five minutes or less at the beginning and end of interactions to solicit feedback using the Outcome Rating Scale (ORS) and the Session Rating Scale (SRS). Clients also appreciate tracking progress from their own point of view using the Self-Completed Overview of Recovery Experience Board (SCORE Board). Individual, group, child, and adult versions of the ORS and SRS are available. In addition, using PCOMS with your current therapeutic model and techniques provides you with clinically relevant, quantitative, practice-based evidence of service effectiveness. PCOMS has been used effectively with clients across behavioral health diagnostic categories and in public and private service delivery systems resulting in significantly reduced dropouts and improved recovery outcomes. Join us for this free webinar to learn how to use these essential tools!

Learning Objectives
  • Explain the research-based factors responsible for client change that cut across professional disciplines and preferred treatment models;
  • Assess the client's vital perceptions of recovery progress and satisfaction so that services can be empirically tailored to the individual's characteristics, circumstances, and resources; and
  •  Use the simple yet feasible, valid, and reliable tools to gather practice-based evidence of service process and outcome effectiveness.
