NAADAC first partnered in Iceland in the mid 1990s to bring the message of addiction professional standards and certification to a conference. Since then, NAADAC has partnered with SÁÁ - National Centre of Addiction Medicine to build an addiction certification system to Iceland and begin testing at the National Addiction Certified Counselor (NCAC) Levels I and II. NAADAC is currently partnered with the Iceland Ministry of Health to certify addiction professionals in Iceland using the NCC AP credentialing process.
