Since 2014, NAADAC has been working with the Integrated Centre of Addiction Prevention and Treatment (ICAPT) in Hong Kong to develop a NAADAC Affiliate and Certification Board that is administered by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. Through these years, ICAPT and NAADAC have provided technical support and support to assist in building the Affiliate in Hong Kong as well as a Certification System that has been managed under the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. The Affiliate has become a NAADAC Approved Education Provider and provides training for the certifications: Certified Addiction Counselor I & II and Senior Addiction Counselor. The Affiliate, Asia Pacific Association for Addiction Professionals (APAAP) is planning to deliver on-going training in certification.
