Sharon "Shari" B. Rigg, LAC

Northwest Regional Vice President

Represents: Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming

Shari Rigg, LAC, is the Executive Director at Stepping Stones Behavioral Health Services, a Montana state-approved agency, providing quality, affordable addiction treatment services in Missoula, MT and the surrounding area. She has been a licensed addiction counselor since 2000 and has worked in leadership positions in the corrections field, for non-profit community agencies, and in private practice. She has been a member of NAADAC since 1998 during her time as a college student.

Rigg is widowed with two adult children and several grandchildren. She is active in her church, involved in community organizations, and a long-time member of the recovery community in Missoula with 32 years in recovery. She attended the University of Montana and graduated from the University of Great Falls (now University of Providence) in 1999.

Rigg and her staff believe that addiction is a disease of the brain and recovery from addiction is a life-long commitment that requires an individual to follow a specific and individualized recovery plan. Coordination with other community services is often an important part of the recovery process.

Rigg began her term as the NAADAC Northwest Regional Vice President in October 2020.
