Since 2015, NAADAC has been working with Dan Ioan Gheorghita, MA, LADC in Ecuador, first to help Mr. Gheorghita to become a NAADAC Approved Education Provider in Ecuador and South American, then to provide technical assistance and support to institutes and universities to help to build a career path in addiction counseling. Future collaborations with NAADAC and NCC AP includes work on an Ecuadorean affiliate, Train-the-Trainers programs, certification, and college courses. Ecuador is also working on an International Certification Program in Addiction Counseling at the Graduate level.
