What certifications does NAADAC offer?
NAADAC offers nine national national certifications and endorsements for addiction professionals. The type of certification/endorsement available for each counselor/addiction professional depends upon the experience and education of the applicant. Each level of credential requires testing. What are the requirements for NAADAC certification?

How much does can NCC AP certification or endorsement cost?
Initial applications cost $235, plus the testing cost of $150. Cost of renewal is $200 every two years for the NCAC I

What is the difference between my state certification and NAADAC certification?
NCC AP credentials are national optional credentials and do not replace any credential or license issued by a state or credentialing authority. To hold and maintain any NCC AP certification except for the NCPRSS, one must already hold a current credential or license issued by a state or credentialing authority. Where do I get applications to take the certification test?
You can register to take our examination through Kryterion. Kryterion administers the tests on NAADAC's behalf. Information regarding test dates, eligibility, fees, test centers and applications can be found on the homepage for each credential listed here
Who do I send my completed certification applications to?
Upon successful completion of the certification test (or if you are already certified in your state), download and complete the application

When will I receive my renewal application?
Renewal applications are sent out every two years. If you have not received a renewal notification, NAADAC may not have your current address. To update your contact information, contact NAADAC at firstname.lastname@example.org
or call at 800.548.0497 ext. 111. Please put "Credential Renewal" in the subject line.
How Much Does Certification Cost?

What is the Difference Between my State Certification and NAADAC Certification?
Certain states allow counselors to use the NAADAC certification for the state certification as well. In other states, where the NAADAC certification cannot serve as a state certification, applicants must be certified by their respective state before taking the NAADAC test and applying for national certification.

How do I Renew my Certification?
Download a renewal application, email Donna Croy or call at 800.548.0497 for a renewal application form. To help ensure that you application is processed before it expires, you must renew your certification 60-90 days prior to expiration.
I Missed the Deadline. How Much are the Late Fees for Re-certification?
The re-certification late fee is $50 per credential renewal application.
