HHS Extends Deadline for Medicaid/CHIP Provider Relief Funds Applications Through August 28

In June, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced it will be distributing $15 billion in emergency relief funds to eligible providers that participate in state Medicaid/CHIP programs or Medicaid managed care plans that have not yet received a payment from the HHS Provider Relief Fund. The funds are expected to provide relief for a number of Medicaid providers, including mental health and substance use providers that may not have been eligible for previous funding announcements.

How to Apply and Determine Eligibility?

The HHS Provider Relief Fund website has Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and resources to help providers with questions about eligibility, the application process, and use of funds. HHS is now accepting applications until Friday, August 28, 2020 (the original deadline was July 20th).
