Norwegian Joy Cruise Ship Overview
The
Norwegian Joy cruise ship was built in 2017 and has the capacity of 3,804 guests. The overall length of 1,094 feet features an Observation Lounge offering 180° panoramic views and The Waterfront, a quarter-mile oceanfront promenade. There are 8 Specialty dining options and a Starbucks on board. Specialty restaurants offer Texas BBQ, American Diner, Japanese, Cagney’s Steakhouse, French, Italian, seafood, and a fusion restaurant. Five complimentary dining options include three main dining rooms: The Manhattan Room, Savor, and Taste with menus that change daily. The Garden Café is a help-yourself buffet, and The Local Bar & Grill offers classic pub fare.
Onboard activities are abundant with shopping, pampering, working out, swimming, and playing. The Mandara Spa & Salon offers 50 specialty treatments, personal training, and nutritional consultations. Pulse Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art fitness center including aerobics and Pilates classes. Enjoy the exhilarating waterslides, water park and mini golf for all ages. The racetrack, laser tag, and virtual game room range from $8-$15 per person. Enjoy complimentary musicals, Footloose & Elements, or complimentary Beatles themed night club, and Social Comedy Club.
The Joy is kid friendly with a kid’s water park, parent-child activities for the younger ones and a place just for teens with movies, art, music, and dance with kids their own age.
Suites on the Joy vary from deluxe, balcony and spa suites including The Haven with 24-hour butler service, concierge service and a private sundeck. Staterooms with a view include Balcony rooms with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to a private balcony and Oceanview rooms with clear ocean views. Inside cabins are an affordable option that can accommodate up to four guests.
Norwegian’s leading Health & Safety Program requires all guests and crew to be 100% fully vaccinated. Masks are no longer required in all public spaces, but are recommended.

Join NAADAC leaders for a mental, emotional and physical wellness training. This session will include information regarding compassion fatigue, self-care, meditation with exercises, physical movement, journaling, and more.

Day 3 (February 14)
9:00am – 11:00am: Romancing the Brain & Relationships (2 CEs),
presented by Cynthia Moreno Tuohy, BSW, NCAC II, CDC III, SAP
Romancing the Brain skills are an intensive set of psycho-emotional-social-spiritual Cogitative Behavioral Therapy (CBT) treatments that, if followed, will result in brain pathway and lifestyle changes for addiction that include process addictions. Join the NAADAC Executive Director for this special training.
Day 4 (February 15)
9:00am – 11:00am What’s Love Got to Do With It? (2 CEs),
presented by Mita M. Johnson, EdD, LPC, MAC, SAP, CTHP-II, Angela E. Maxwell, PhD, CPS, and Cynthia Moreno Tuohy, BSW, NCAC II, CDC III, SAP This session can be around what is healthy love, equality and inequality expressed through love (Deluth Model), power and control and Tips to a happy relationship with self and others.
