Michael DeMolina, PhD, LPCS, CDCS, MAC, has worked in the addictions and mental health field for over 30 years as a therapist, consultant, and trainer. He has experience in various clinical positions ranging from residential to outpatient, hospitals to private practice. In 2005, he founded Wisdom Traditions Counseling Services and Alaska Wisdom Recovery, a CARF-accredited substance use and behavioral healthcare system. DeMolina is dedicated to expanding awareness of trauma-sensitive approaches in both treatment and education. He has led trainings in EFT and NLP in cities and provinces across North and South America, consulting with treatment centers and schools ranging from Mohawk Territory in Canada to the Sacred Valley of Peru.

Courtney Donovan, PhD

Courtney Donovan, PhD, began her career in the behavioral health field nearly 20 years ago. She has worked with various populations, including children and adults, in psychiatric environments and residential and outpatient behavioral health settings. She has a passion for learning and giving back to her community. Donovan strives to be creative and enjoys challenging those around her to be innovative and confident. In addition to being the Board President for AAPA, Donovan enjoys serving as the chair of the Alaska Commission for Behavioral Health Certification and is involved with several other local and national associations.

Karen Levin Moser, LCSW, CP, PAT

Karen Levin Moser, LCSW, PAT, is a licensed clinical social worker and certified psychodramatist who has a clinical and training practice outside of Philadelphia. She began her career in the addictions field, where she worked in inpatient dual diagnosis rehabilitation centers, and later created and directed an intensive outpatient program for the treatment of addiction and mental health. In addition, she is an Adjunct Faculty member of Bryn Mawr College School of Social Work and Social Research. She is a skilled clinician and teacher who utilizes a variety of treatment approaches with her clients, including gestalt therapy, psychodrama, and EMDR. These experiential therapies allow clients to heal in the present with compassion, authenticity, and confidence.

Kevin McCauley, MD

Senior Fellow, Meadows Behavioral Healthcare

Kevin McCauley, MD, is a Meadows Behavioral Healthcare Senior Fellow and graduated from Drexel University Medical School in 1992. He first became interested in treating substance use disorders while serving as a Naval Flight Surgeon, where he observed the US Navy’s policy of treating addiction as a safety, not a moral issue, returning treated pilots to flight status under careful monitoring. McCauley wrote and directed two films: Memo to Self: Protecting Sobriety with the Science of Safety, exploring the concepts of recovery management, and Pleasure Unwoven: An Explanation of the Brain Disease of Addiction, on the neuroscience of addiction. He won the 2010 Michael Q. Ford Award for Journalism from the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers.

Randi Moberly, PhD, CADC

Randi Moberly, PhD, CADC, focuses on integrated care for substance use disorders and the complex co-occurring issues that accompany these diagnoses. She earned her doctoral degree from Northern Illinois University where she was the recipient of a National Institute of Mental Health Research Fellowship. Moberly’s depth of experience in integrated treatment, and the breadth of experience accumulated by years of working on these efforts across the country allow her to develop and deliver flexible, customized programming plans backed up by rigorous methodologies derived from fidelity to evidence-based practices and the consistent use of valid and reliable instruments. Her research and clinical interests include best practices for youth and adults diagnosed with co-occurring disorders, social information processing styles, implementation science and organizational and system change practices.

David Moran, CADC/CCDP-D, LCSW, TEP

Dave Moran, CADC/CCDP-D, LCSW, TEP, has been a behavioral health specialist for over 30 years. Moran has served as the Administrative Director of Substance Abuse Services for Crozer Health, as an Executive Council Member from 2005-2020, and as Vice President and President from 2009-2015 of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama (ASGPP). He is a CADC, CCDP-D LCSW, (TEP) Trainer, Educator, and Practitioner of Psychodrama, Sociometry, and Group Psychotherapy (EMDRIA) Trained, Attuned Reiki Specialist, and trained as an interventionist by National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD). He specializes in individual, couples, group & community interventions and is a holistic healer.

Cynthia Moreno Tuohy, BSW, NCAC II, CDC III, SAP

Cynthia Moreno Tuohy, BSW, NCAC II, CDC III, SAP,  is the Executive Director of NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, and has worked as an addiction professional for 46 years. She has been a trainer in Domestic Violence/Anger Management and Conflict Resolution for over 30 years and an international, national, and state trainer. Moreno Tuohy is also a curriculum writer in addiction screening and evaluation, counseling methods, conflict resolution, co-occurring disorders, ethics, documentation, and medicated assisted treatment and recovery, and has written articles published in national and other trade magazines. Her book, Rein in Your Brain: from Impulsivity to Thoughtful Living in Recovery, was released in May 2014 through Hazelden Publishers. She has served as President of NAADAC, as well as Certification Board Commissioner, International Chair, Treasurer, and Legislative Chair for NAADAC.

Shari Rigg, LAC

Shari Rigg, LAC, is the Executive Director for Stepping Stones Behavioral Health Services, Inc. in Missoula, Montana. Stepping Stones was established in 2001 as Rigg’s private practice. Due to extensive growth, Stepping Stones was transitioned to a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2020 and serves nearly 250 active patients in their outpatient and intensive outpatient programs. Rigg brings her expertise, compassion, knowledge, and leadership skills to individuals and families affected by substance use and gambling disorders. She has 24 years of experience as an addiction counselor, program manager, and Executive Director. Her experience includes working in state agencies, the correctional system, and private practice. She is also a well-known professional speaker who speaks on the topics of problem substance use, employers addressing substance use among employees, and educating families experiencing substance use.
