| Sep 10-10 | Coding, Billing, Documentation & Compliance for Behavioral Health & Psychotherapy Services Davenport, IA As CMS continues to make swift changes for 2013 and the future, it is more important than ever that psychologists, social workers, counselors and therapists have an understanding of proper coding and billing for inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy and mental health services, and the constantly changing requirements of Medicare, Medicaid and third party insurers. In addition to significant CPT coding changes for 2013, providers will need to understand how to use the newly released DSM-5 for assigning accurate ICD-9-CM codes to support mental health diagnoses and services provided. Providers will also need to prepare for the 2014 implementation of ICD-10-CM and the crosswalk from ICD-9-CM codes. This timely one-day workshop will provide behavioral health professionals with guidelines for ensuring accurate use of diagnosis and procedure codes, and the documentation and clinical reasoning necessary to support medical necessity for services provided.
