| Oct 16 | Using the DSM-5® for Accurate Diagnosis & Treatment Planning Phoenix, AZ DSM-5® is applicable in a wide diversity of contexts and is intended for use among clinicians and researchers practicing in academic, inpatient, outpatient, residential, partial hospital, private practice, primary care, clinical, community and consultant settings. This workshop meets the pressing needs of these professionals as they are required to facilitate more accurate diagnosis of mental health disorders and strive for more common language to communicate with patients and to promote measurement-based care. The DSM-5® represents a fundamental shift in how disorders are conceptualized and diagnosed. This timely workshop provides more than an overview of the manual, its new organization and other innovations such as spectrum disorders. Participants have the chance to practice using the new system and its changes as they relate to major psychiatric diagnostic groups. This workshop acts as a powerful tool to help participants effectively apply the methodology of the DSM-5® to every day practice. You will learn effective interpretation strategies to make sure you diagnose and set treatment plans with the level of accuracy required for the new diagnostic protocol. More information |
