What does everyone think about interpreters for a client? Is it ethical to have an interpreter in the room while you're in a counseling session?

Yes it is ethical. The clinician, however, should ignore the interpreter and speak directly to the client. Also, the interpreter should be qualified and follow ethiical standards, to ensure that the interpreter speaks only for the client and does not add personal thoughts to the conversation.
