wait time for response

Somem time ago I submitted application for NMAC after passing the NAADAC MAC exam. I have not heard anything from NAADAC. How long would I expect to wait for any type of response?

I submitted the application before I took the exam, it was my understanding that was the process.  I took the test for the MAC on December 14, then received a letter from NAADAC 4 weeks later granting me the credential.  I am still waiting for the official certificate, which was supposed to be received in 4-6 weeks (it's now been about 8)...I would think you may want to contact NAADAC to make sure they have everything they need.

How was this issue resolved? Did you receive your MAC certificate?

Hi all - brought this issue to the attention of Shirley Beckett Mikell, NAADAC's Director of Certification and Education. Here's her response:

Procedure for new applicants who have taken the NCC exam through their state:
1. Applications are reviewed within one week of  them being recieved by the NCC staff.
2. Candidate is notified if review determines documents of training/education/supervisory signature or practice experience is not included in packet, or do not meet requirements.
3. If application meets requirements and test score is included, the applicant is approved.
4. Letters of congratulations and credential certificates are mailed out at the end of each month.
5. Credential date is effective the end of each month.

If you have any questions, please contact Shirley directly at shirley@naadac.org.
