Many professional working in addiction are not familiar with the requirements of federal and state laws that impact addiction treatment. This training will provide detailed information on how professionals, community service workers, peer specialist and case managers can navigate these complicated legal issues. We will review the differences in HIPPA laws and CFR 42 and the requirements that must be followed by all professionals.
We will also discuss specific issues around ethics and how professionals must respond to ethical challenges in a growing and ever changing system that now includes electronic treatment issues. The training will also provide information on requirements and new topics of information regarding treatment and electronic therapy and support.
