MAADAC, the Michigan Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Inc., is a nonprofit, membership organization offering education, mentorship, professional liability insurance and support for people working in the field of alcoholism and other drug addiction treatment.

This site features news and resources on the local and national level. We also have a complete list of events and other valuable information. Take time to browse. You may contact us by email or by phone with questions.

We are the Michigan affiliate of NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals. Through NAADAC, members may apply for professional liability insurance.

By joining our organization, you will become a member of both NAADAC and MAADAC.

Mission Statement



MAADAC's mission is to provide leadership in the alcoholism and drug abuse counseling professions by building new visions, effecting change in public policy, promoting criteria for effective treatment, encouraging adherence to ethical standards, and ensuing professional growth for alcoholism and drug abuse counselors.

MAADAC's vision is to inspire alcoholism and drug abuse counselors to create healthier families and communities through prevention, intervention and quality treatment.
