Description: Carved out of a niche of professional counselors, social workers and mental health clinicians, addiction professionals have had to define a distinct professional identity within the helping profession. Professional identity is the set of attributes, beliefs, values and experiences by which professionals define themselves. But, what does "professional identity" mean to you and how do you fulfill it? NAADAC\'s Code of Ethics speaks directly to the obligations of an addiction professional and is used as a guideline for professional identity development. This webinar will outline three ethical principles from the NAADAC Code of Ethics in relation to professional identify. The presenters will also discuss how NAADAC can help each addiction professional build their professional identities and fulfill their ethical obligations at the same time. At the end of the live presentation, participants will be able to ask questions of the presenters and receive immediate answers.
