Susan has worked in addictions treatment for the past 20 years and currently is the Clinical Director of Prestera’s Addictions Recovery Centers, West.  She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and is certified as a Certified Clinical Addiction Counselor, Certified Clinical Supervisor, Master Addiction Counselor, Certified Criminal Justice Professional and Substance Abuse Professional.  She is the 2001 recipient of the West Virginia Certification Board for Addiction and Prevention Professionals Lisa Grossi Award for inspiring dedication in the field of addiction treatment and prevention.  She has served on the West Virginia Best Practice Committee on the Delivery of Substance Abuse Services and the West Virginia DUI Safety and Treatment Program Quality Assurance Committee.

Susan is the current president of the West Virginia Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (WVAADC) and has served on the board for the past ten years.  She has chaired the WVAADC Membership, Regional Training Seminar, Nominations, Awards, and Annual Conference Committees.  She has also held the offices of Secretary and President-Elect.  Susan has served on the NAADAC Board of Directors representing West Virginia for the past four years.  She has also served on the NAADAC Membership Committee, Conference Committee, Bylaws Committee and is a current member of the Political Action Committee.
