Medical Professional of the Year Print

 

This award is presented to a medical professional who has made an outstanding contribution to the addiction profession. Members of NAADAC's Executive Committee are not eligible for this award.

Eligibility Requirements

This award is presented based on the following criteria:

1. Be currently employed in the addiction profession and actively working as such for a minimum of three (3) years prior to receiving this award.
2. Hold licensure as a Medical Doctor, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in their respective state.
3. Be an active member in good standing of NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals (i.e., the individual must be a voting member as opposed to an honorary member or nonvoting member).
4. Be working with clients/patients for a sustained period with individual or group contact that fosters recovery from addiction disorders.
5. Have demonstrated to the satisfaction of one's peers full compliance and support of NAADAC's Code of Ethics.

Nominating Information

1. Each NAADAC affiliate is encouraged to submit a nominee, although only one nominee per state affiliate will be considered. Individual NAADAC members may also submit nominations for this award.
2. To nominate an individual for this award, state organizations should mail a resume from the individual nominated along with three letters of support and a letter of recommendation.
