William F. "Bill" Callahan Award Print

 

This award recognizes sustained and meritorious service at the national level to the profession of addiction counseling.

Eligibility Criteria

Individuals nominated for this award must:

  1. Have a minimum of fifteen years in the addiction counseling profession or related administration, and
  2. Possess a strong dedication to the addiction profession as demonstrated by involvement in and commitment to a variety of key organizations.
  3. Not be a current member of NAADAC's Executive Committee.

Nomination Information

Any NAADAC member in good standing may nominate an individual for this award. Nominations should document the candidate’s involvement in the addiction profession and explain how the person has enhanced the profession.

The NAADAC Executive Committee selects the William F. “Bill” Callahan Award recipient. There is, however, no requirement to present this award each year, nor is there a limitation on the number of recipients who can be chosen in a single year.

To nominate an individual, please mail a letter and any supporting documentation that demonstrates the candidate’s involvement in the addiction profession and explains how the person has enhanced the profession to:

The award recipients will receive travel to the award ceremony, and hotel and registration fees for the day of the NAADAC annual conference where the award is presented. Any other expenses for the award recipient or their guest(s) are the responsibility of the recipient.
