NAADAC-The Association for Addiction Professionals proudly announces Jonathan Westin as its new Director of Government Relations.

Westin brings a wealth of experience in health policy. Previously, he was Vice President of Government Relations for the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare, where he partnered with NAADAC on many initiatives.

Westin's resume includes tenures as a Program Analyst at HHS and as a graduate fellow in Senator Bob Graham's (D-FL) office. He began his career as a client executive for the public relations firm Burson-Marsteler in Washington, DC. He holds an MPA and BA from American University.

"NAADAC will be well-served by Jon's energy, contacts, and in-depth experience in healthcare policy," said NAADAC Executive Director Pat Ford-Roegner. "He's poised to take our PAC and government relations department to the next level."

Added NAADAC President Roger Curtiss, NCAC II, "I've long been impressed by Jon's knowledge and interest in NAADAC's agenda. To now attract someone of his caliber to our staff is a coup - and a credit to both the quality and potential of our advocacy efforts. I'm excited about working with him."

Westin replaces John Avery, who recently became Executive Director of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry.
