Collaboration and Learning are the Focus of the NAADAC National Conference While NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, is the largest national partner organization at the NAADAC Annual Meeting, did you realize that other national and local organizations are working with NAADAC on the conference? NAADAC has aligned with government partners: the Division of Addictive Diseases, Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities; the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA); and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). NAADAC is working with professional associations: the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA); the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and NALGAP: The Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Addiction Professionals and Their Allies. NAADAC is working with recovery-focused partners: the National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACoA) and the National Association of Recovery Residences (NARR). NAADAC has partnered with educational organizations: the International Coalition for Addiction Studies Education (INCASE); the National Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC); the NIATx Learning Collaborative and the National Addiction Studies Accreditation Commission (NASAC). This is truly an educational opportunity to learn best practices from a myriad of leaders in the profession. Up to 32 units of continuing education are available. Register by August 12 to take advantage of a $50 Early-bird discount. Visit here for more information on the conference or register online. -30- |
