NAADAC Awards Conference Scholarships  

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Forty-one addiction professionals from around the nation received assistance to participate in the Sowing the Seeds of Recovery conference is Salt Lake City, Utah. The conference, hosted by NAADAC in conjunction with the Utah State Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health, the Association of Utah Substance Abuse Professionals (AUSAP), the Mountain West Addiction Technology Transfer Center, the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment (ADAPT) of the U.S. Air Force, and the NALGAP, The Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Addiction Professionals and Their Allies, will run from August 18-22.

 

Assistance was made available in part through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (www.csat.samhsa.gov), the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) (http://www.nida.nih.gov/), and the Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (http://www.hsdsa.utah.gov/). Scholarship awards are intended to help those who would not be able to otherwise participate in the conference.

 

NAADAC awarded 41 scholarships to applicants from 25 U.S. states.

 

As a part of its collaborative agreement with the Utah State Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health, additional scholarships will be awarded to addiction professionals who are residents of the state of Utah.
