Forty-seven addiction professionals from around the nation received assistance to participate in the Recovery for a Lifetime conference in Overland Park, Kan. The conference, co-hosted by NAADAC, the Kansas Association for Addiction Professionals (KAAP) and NALGAP, The Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Addiction Professionals and Their Allies, will run from August 28-31, with a pre-conference session on August 27.

Assistance was made available in part through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment. Scholarship awards are intended to help those who would not be able to otherwise participate in the conference.

NAADAC awarded 47 scholarships to applicants from 23 U.S. states and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
