NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, will co-host the 2008 Recovery for a Lifetime annual conference with the Kansas Association for Addiction Professionals and NALGAP, The Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Addiction Professionals and Their Allies. The conference is scheduled for August 28 to 31, 2008, in Overland Park, Kan., with a pre-conference on Motivational Interviewing being held on August 27, 2008.

The conference will feature a dynamic and diverse group of speakers including Dr. H. Wesley Clark, from the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), Dr. Lucinda Miner from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Jerry Moe from the Betty Ford Clinic, Dr. Bertha Madras from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), Dr. Mark Willenbring from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), Dr. Darryl S. Inaba with the Haight Ashbury Free Clinics and Jennifer Storm, Author and Executive Director of the Victim Witness Assistance Program.
