Greg Lovelidge LCDC, ADC III, is the founder and President of the Institute of Chemical Dependency Studies (ICDS). Since 1992, ICDS has provided the required education to meet the national standard of knowledge, education and skills for becoming a credentialed chemical dependency counselor. ICDS also provides continuing education for students and professionals in the addiction services profession. Lovelidge is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and has a degree in Psychology and Sociology from Antioch University.
Lovelidge has published and distributed the Recovery Today newspaper for over 12 years in an effort to assist and communicate with professionals and individuals in all areas of alcohol and chemical dependency. Recovery Today currently has a circulation of 30,000 readers, spanning from coast to coast.
Lovelidge is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Palmer Drug Abuse Program, a non-profit organization offering assistance to people with alcohol and chemical dependency issues. He also serves on the board of the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals (TAAP). Lovelidge has served as the President of Professional Development Systems, as well as the Vice President of Patrick Whitty and Associates presenting the Dale Carnegie course to corporate America.
Greg Lovelidge has been awarded the prestigious Spectrum Torchbearer Award for his committed excellence to education, the Man of the Year Award from the Palmer Drug Abuse Program, commendation for the Continuing Education Program at the University of Houston and various other leadership awards.
