Donald P. Osborn has been involved in the area of behavioral and social sciences for over thirty years. He earned his BA in Christian Ministries from Lincoln Christian University; he then went on to earn an MS in Counseling Psychology from Indiana State University (ISU). Upon graduating from ISU he did post-graduate work in Marital, Family Therapy and Psychological Appraisal. He furthered his education by receiving a MA in Theology with a specialization in Psychology and Religion from Saint Mary of the Woods College. After graduation he completed the Addiction Studies certificate from Vincennes University and is near completion of a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at ISU. He has been ordained as a minister in the Christian Church for over thirty years.

He is certified as a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), Indiana Certified Addictions Counselor (ICAC) and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). Additionally, he is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marital and Family Therapy, a National Board Certified Counselor and a National Certified Psychologist. Osborn is a Senior Fulbright Scholar, with the NAADAC Trainers Academy. He has served on several NAADAC committees and currently serves as Chair of the National Addiction Studies and Standards Committee. Previously he has served two terms as the NAADAC Mid Central Regional Vice President, and served as board member and state president of Indiana.

In Indiana, he is licensed in Marital and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work and Mental Health. His professional experience includes positions as minister, clinician, clinical supervisor, program director and administrator.

Don is Director and Professor of Graduate Addictions and Executive Director of the Addictions Studies Center at Indiana Wesleyan University.  He resides in Noblesville, Indiana with his wife Cindy and they have three grown daughters Shawna, Tiffany and Sara.
