Biography Mary Woods, RNC, LADC, MSHS President, NAADAC, The Association for Addiction Professionals
Mary Woods is a Past President of NAADAC and is a Licensed Registered Nurse and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor. Woods is currently employed as the Chief Executive Officer for Westbridge in New Hampshire and has over 30 years experience in substance abuse services and community mental health programs.
Mary Woods is a charter member of the New Hampshire Board of Licensing for Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professionals (NHAODAP). She has had extensive involvement with NAADAC, serving as a member of the New Hampshire Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor's board from l990-1998 and she served as the chairperson of the Association's Professional Development Committee. She served as NAADAC Northeast Regional Vice President from 1998-2002 and as NAADAC President-Elect from 2002-2004.
Some of her other skills and accomplishments include:
• Teaching at the University of New Hampshire in the Social Work Department. • Conducting extensive workshops and trainings with a primary focus in Motivational Interviewing; Stages of Change Theory; Integrating Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders; Group Counseling for Co-occurring Disorders and Alcohol and Drug Addiction Treatment Skills for Nurses. • Providing Consultation Services to Serenity Place-NH, Ohio County Boards, and Camden and Islington Health Trust, UK. • Lecturing to community organizations and associations to increase community awareness of alcohol and substance abuse issues and dual disorders treatment. • Contributing to the development of the Integrated Dual Disorders Treatment Practitioners and Clinical Supervisors Workbook and Practice Demonstration Video.
Ms. Woods received her nursing diploma from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Elmira, NY, her Baccalaureate Degree in Psychology/Sociology from New England College in Henniker, NH, and her Master's Degree in Human Service Administration from Springfield College in Springfield, Mass.
